Co-Main Event Podcast Episode 64 (8/13/13)

New logo 64Episode 64 marks another early arrival for the Co-Main Event Podcast, this one recorded and put in the can just as news broke that Jason “Mayhem” Miller had allegedly been arrested for domestic violence. So, that’s about typical as it concerns breaking news constantly occurring just as the podcast is finished. Fortunately, there was more than enough preexisting MMA news to fill this episode as Ben and Chad laid it down on Sunday afternoon. Topics discussed here include the pending debut of Fox Sports 1, the returns of both Chael Sonnen and Alistair Overeem as well as Ronda Rousey’s recent claims she’ll only fight for another couple of years before transitioning to career No. 2 (or wait, career No. 3? Eh, who’s counting?). In the middle, the guys mix in some talk about last Saturday’s World Series of Fighting 4 card, which included promotional owner Ray Sefo losing to Dave Huckaba, Lew Polley badly missing weight and Tyrone Spong getting his second professional MMA win.

All that plus AYFKM, Tips for the Well-Rounded Fight Fan and Just Sayin’ Stuff.

SOUNDS: This week’s music comes from listener “Brad” (if that is his real name) and his project Brad Sucks. If you dig it, you can find more of his music on his website and/or Facebook page (or follow him on Twitter).

AWW YEAHH!! It’s the Co-Main Event up in this piece! I woke up this morning thinking “today is the day i stick my head in the furnace and end it all”, but then i remembered the CME. Now i have a reason to live for at least 1 more hour.

  2. Woah, major props on mentioning the “Run The Jewels” album by EL-P and Killer Mike for the well rounded fight fan. It’s good to know that you guys give respect to the highly underrated EL-P. Just another reason why you guys are all kinds of awesome.

Please continue with this song as your intro music!! It rocks, and fits really well as an intro – the other one is just weird and bad.
    That’s all I have.
